HERA UV MIST CUSHION

Hello Peeps!!

I returned today with a BB Cushion review.

I haven’t been really been looking around for BB or CC Cushions lately, but I happen to find this one on memebox.com

Let’s get into the review!!!

I was actually pretty surprised with the box. It’s really pretty!!

It also comes with a replacement cushion

This is always a plus for me. I mean, it was pretty expensive so I better get my money’s worth!!

Now the Cushion packing is very sleek and chic. It feels like an high-end product (and it actually is! Hera is considered an high-end product in South Korea)

NOW LET’S TRY IT!!

Let me tell you a little bit about my skin type. I have a acne prone skin, very oily in the summer and super dry in the winter. I have been experiencing some break-outs since I just recently moved into an apartment and while I was going through all the moving hassle I happened to misplaced my Mia2 for 2 days and I am now paying the consequences.

I got shade C-23(their darkest shade)]

You can tell on this picture that it’s still pretty light

Compared to my neck it makes me look pale as a ghost xD

Now this is when I applied it all over my face.

I also added a little bit a bronzer and a bronzey blush (to even out my paleness xD)

This is what it looks like in natural light.

It is an extremely brightening formula. I loved the fact that even though it was lighter than my actual skin tone, it didn’t make me look ashy.

  CONCLUSION

• Excellent quality product. It lasts all day. I don’t think there is a need for retouching (unless you sweat a lot)
• It doesn’t make you look ashy like a lot of other bb creams
• If you have a darker skin tone, you won’t be able to find a shade that will match you 😦
• This bb has a semi-matte finish, it isn’t as hydrating as other bb cushions.

Chosungah 22 Dong Gong Minn Brow Maker *Review and Demo*

I have been gone for quite a while 😦

I didn’t have a computer in all that time, but I was finally able to afford a new one and therefore I should be able to post more often! (Yeeeh!!!)

My last post for the Chosungah lip stain was a sucess!!! It’s the post that had the most views from all of my other posts (just in case you missed it, here it is: Chosungah Lip Tint Review)

So I decided to make another post about another Chosungah product!!!

This time I will talk about the Chosungah 22 Dong Gong Minn Brow Maker

LET’S TEST IT OUT!!

So, this is what my real eyebrows look like (I know you are laughing -_- Staph!)

Let’s see what time of miracles this thing can do for me…

Peasants, behold Chosungah Brow Maker in all of it’s glory…

Now let’s break it up:

The wand comes with a brush and the a spongy tip

This is how you used it:

1. Comb through your eyebrows (start with the inner part)

2. Used the sponge tip to fill out the sparse parts

3. DONE,킅, FINITO

And here is the finished look (it clearly took me way more time than what filling in my eyebrows did)

CONCLUSION

• Easiest-to-use-eyebrow-pencil-ever!
• I love the fact that it has wax also incorporated, so your eyebrows ain’t going no where, homie!
• Cutest packaging (and Koreans do it one more time)
• You have to be very careful with the amount of product you use. A little bit goes a long way.
• It’s not the cheapest ($22 bucks at Sephora

Chosungah 22 Dual Lip Tint and Gloss *Review and Demo*

Hello peeps!

Today I bring you a review of the Chosungah 22 dual lip tint.

Just to give you a little bit of a history for this Korean brand.

What I know is that it was created by a Korean makeup artist and it was only used with celebrities. But it has been opened to the public and you can get the Chosungah makeup products at Sephora and other online websites (like Memebox).

I have to say that I was pretty excited when I saw this product at Sephora.

It’s a double ended product, and it makes it very convenient to carry.

Now let me show you a demo:

This is when I only applied the lip tint to my lips.

I have to say that it makes your lips look very “juicy”

Here is the lip tint with the gloss

At first the lip tint felt very sticky, but the stickiness goes a away after a little while.

CONCLUSION

• I really liked the fact that this lip tint delivered a lot of the pigment on the first application. With some Korean lip tints you have to try at least 2 or 3 times in order to get a good color pay off.
• The combination of the lip tint and lip gloss is life. They work so well together.
• It’s not the most affordable lip stain ($19 @ Sephora)
• As for wear, I have to say that it’s not the best. The lip tint doesn’t last all day, but the lip gloss does last a very decent amount of time.
• I’ll give this lip tint a 4/5

Smashbox “Camera Ready BB Water” & Tony Moly “Luminous Aura” *Review and Demo*

Yes, I know… I legit didn’t post at all last month! But a lot of stuff occured T.T

Lost my cellphone, getting crazy hours at work, Xiumin from EXO still isn’t my boyfriend… sigh 😦

But now it’s all good in the hood, and I have returned!!!

Annndd today I bring you a review of not 1 BUT 2 products!!

Smashbox “Camera Ready BB Water”

This products claims to prime, perfect and protect (they should just called it a pp water xD jk)

This product is supposed to give you a demi-matte look and it’s formulated to last a long time!

It’s alcohol free (means no shine and no drying) and it also comes in tons of shades. I am really glad the cosmetic industry is trying really hard to create shades for almost everyone!

Let’s try it out

I applied this product with a beauty blender. I feel like it gives you the best finish!

This stuff is super watery (hence the name xD)

Then I added some of the Luminous Aura

You can use your own ratio but I did 2:1 with this. The Luminous Aura will work with just a small amount

*END RESULT*

Super dewy and healthy looking skin.

But if you ain’t about that “all-over” dewiness and want to mattify some areas of your face I would recommend to use a brightening powder.

The Sephora Collection “Bright Set” powder in banana should do the work!

I put some powder on my T-Zone so it didn’t get too oily!

But I was completely happy with then end result.

Now let me give you a quick rundown of the Luminous Aura:

Sephora Website: Tony Moly’s multitasking Luminous Goddess Aura Beam creates a luminious glow with its real pearl powder. Enriched with collagen and natural oils that are known for their antiaging and hydrating benefits, it can be used alone or mixed with your foundation. Perfect for every skintone, this powder nourishes skin with argan, almond, and jojoba natural oils and extracts.

I haven’t seen any of the “anti-aging” results but it definitely hydrates. It works really well and you can also use it as a highlighter.

CONCLUSION

• Great products. I would recommend the BB water for people that do not have much to cover. I would say it has a light to sheer coverage, but you can use it with your favorite concealer or foundation
• If you ain’t about that extra dewy life, then the Luminous Aura is not for you. This stuff will give you “I-just-came-out-of-a-korean-drama-shooting” dewiness. But if you love it, then you should go to Sephora now and buy it!
• Neither of these products broke me out! I was really happy about that.
• I give these products a 5/5

THE PALETTE

This palette comes with 4 shades. Since this is the “Pink Bloom” quad, most of the eye shadows are pink with the exception of “Shine Ash Brown”

So let me tell you one thing first. These shadows are mostly glitter. They aren’t very pigmented but they are meant to be that way. Glitter is very popular in Korea and lots of K-pop stars sport glitter on their eyes. The only way you can get quite a good color pay off with these eye shadows is if you apply them wet.

THE LIPSTICK

Alright… so I kind of cheated on this one hahaha

The lipstick that came in the box is #4 in Blooming Love but pink does not look good on me. So I decided to buy another color that looks good on me (I gave the pink lipstick to my friend xD)

I bought #2 Spring Love

The packaging is surprisingly super cute. It fits really well in your hands and the texture of the lipstick is very smooth.

I know it looks pretty pink in this pic, but I actually used a bright pink Dior lipstick and the put the #2 lip color in the middle.

THE EYELINER

Memebox definitely knows how to make eyeliners. I own 3 of their shades including the one that came in this box. OMG they are freaking pigmented and they just stay! They stay forever!

Beautiful color: Check. Staying power: Freaking check! Good job Memebox

THE BLUSH

I wish I could say that same thing about this blush when it comes to staying power… I am not a fan of this blush. It doesn’t stay long and the color pay off is’t very good 😦 But if you are looking for light cream blush then this could be a very good option for you.

#3 Selena Cream Blush Swatch

THE SHADOW

Did you get blind when you saw this picture? Because this eye shadow is freaking glittery. These are basically pressed glitter. It comes with glitter chunks that once they break down they reveal their color.

They remind me of the Stila Magnificent Metal Foil Finish Eye Shadow. The Stila is a better quality though and it lasts longer than the memebox one.

THE MASCARA

I am actually very impressed with this mascara. This stuff is awesome, way better than the mascara I got in my previous Pony Memebox. This mascara will you all the length in the world (not so much volume) but there is downside to this mascara: It is freaking painful to take off. But to be honest, I am willing to go through that pain in order to have the result that this mascara gives me. This mascara is very “Korean” if we get technical about it. It gives you the length that is popular in Korea, because I don’t think that volume is popular per se.

CONCLUSION

• Beautiful products. I don’t think that all of them are really good, but I was overall happy with the whole box
• OBSESSED with the mascara and the eyeliner!
• The eye shadows and the lipstick are okay
• Not loving the blush 😦
• I give this memebox a 4/5.

Lancome Miracle Cushion *Review*

I am back with another review 🙂

I was able to get a hold of this product a few days early before the release date (which is tomorrow here in the States) and I wanted to give my two cents to those that are curious and want to know more about this product before committing to it.

Let’s do this!

So the Lancome Miracle Cushion… I was freaking excited when the news about this product came to my ears. As an Asian Makeup freak I was completely stoked about it!

I knew I wanted to get this product as soon as possible. THANKFULLY, I was able to get a hold of it before the release date (for free too) and my life was made complete haha

So let’s talk Miracle Cushion:

This is the information I was able to gather from the Lancome.com website

1. THE CUSHION
A liquid foundation in a cushion. 800,000 pores
deliver the perfect amount of formula for your
desired application. Just press for coverage, from
sheer to moderate.

2. THE FORMULA
Ultra lightweight, with a refreshing, cooling
sensation upon application, all while hydrating and
brightening your skin. The result is a dewy glow and
a flawless finish.

3. THE PUFF
The custom puff applicator allows for foolproof
application. Just press the puff onto the cushion and
tap onto the skin for a smoothing effect.

This product also claims to be oil-free and non-comedogenic, this just assures you that it won’t clog your pores.

Now let’s try this mother trucker!

Since I did get this product for free, it didn’t come with the case unfortunately and I also didn’t get to choose my shade T_T But this is what the cushion looks like.

The Puff

Now let me add some concealer

Now that I have prep my face, I am ready to put on the cushion…

So this time I wanted to add a little bit of extra moisture to the formula so I put on some of the serum that is left in the packaging after you are done using a face mask.

I put on a Dr. Jart+ face mask the night before, and these are extremely saturated so you are always left with some serum inside the bag.

When you apply the product you put press the puff into the cushion and depending on how much coverage you want, you can either just pat the surface of the cushion for light coverage, or you can press it deeper for more full coverage.

Personally I don’t like full coverage, so I just used a little bit of product

For what I could see, this product is super pigmented, so a little goes a long way.

You apply this on your face with sweeping motions. For best results you can start in and then go out your face. So you would start in the middle of your face and then work your way out to the rest of your face.

CONCLUSION

• This cushion is a great and innovative idea for Western Culture and for people that are being introduced to Korean cosmetics and technology. For those that do not know, Korea is famous for the BB + CC Cushions. I own two of them, and I did a review for one of them.

• This Cushion is saturated with product and the foundation itself is really pigmented
• That particular day was really cold, so my face was a little dryer that usual. I felt drying when I first applied it, so if you have extra dry skin I would make sure you exfoliate before using.
• It is extremely convenient to carry
• Unfortunately this product broke me out T_T I can’t believe it did that. I am not sure if it was the puff or the product itself. I will try to use my beauty blender next time I wear it just in case it might have been the puff.
• As for the dewiness, to be honest, I didn’t see it. I just felt oily on my t-zone throughout the day.
• I talked to a few other people that tried it and they said they love it. It is indeed a great product, unfortunately my first experience with it didn’t work out. Once again, I will try to apply it with my beauty blender next time.
• Overall I give this product a 4/5. Just because it didn’t work on me doesn’t mean it isn’t a great product. You should check it out when it hits your local beauty store!

Innisfree Mellow Cream Lipstick *Review*

I am back with another review 🙂

Today I will review the Innisfree Mellow Cream Lipstick.

I am a hardcore fan of Innisfree. I always stalk their website and I always google their products too (I need to staph). So I decided to purchase one of their products and see how I liked it. Since I am a huge lipstick junky I decided to start with their lip products. I actually bought this lipstick a while back, and it was a great idea since we were in the middle of winter and my lips needed hydration A.S.A.P!

               

I present to you the Innisfree Cream Mellow Lipsticks 😀

So the point of these lipstick is to give you hydration and make your lips looks really shiny.

They come in 10 shades (so pruuuty :D)

In this picture above you can see that they produce the effect of a gloss over the lips.

RANDOM FACT:

Im Yoona of Girl’s Generation (kpop girl group) promoted and modeled this product for Innisfree. (This picture led to me to buy the shade that I now own. Pictures are influential my friends T_T)

NOW LET’S GET TO THE REVIEW

Here is the packaging. I got Mellow Cream in #8

This is a really pretty color. I was very impressed with the packing. It is really pretty, but it could get messy if you get makeup all over the tube, since it is white. (Yes,  I see that you keep your makeup in a makeup bag and when you open it it looks like a hurricane just passed through)

Since this isn’t a non-traditional lipstick tip, it could look a little funky at first. But trust me, it actually allows you to apply the product without much error.

When I first purchased the product I applied it without a lip liner, but I noticed the the lipstick bled to much. 😦

So let me show you how I usually use this bad boy :3

Always start with clean lips. I usually scrub my lips at least 4 times a week in order to keep them healthy and not crusty.

1. First I line my lips (I use Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On lip pencil in 69)

One of my tricks to apply lip liner is to draw an x in your cupid’s bow part. This will help make it look more define (Please disregard my 1st grader drawing skills xD)

2. I fill-in my lips with lip liner 🙂

3. Apply Cream Mellow Lipstick

(Lol I got lipstick on my teeth xD)

CONCLUSION

• I really like this lipstick. It delivers moisture and it looks really pretty on the lips. I like the fact that you can use it during winter and your lips will be the ones that shine everywhere you go xD
• The product won’t last long if you don’t use a lip liner 😦
• Super glossy finish that gives me life :3
• It also has quite a comfortable price. I got it for $10.75 at kpoptown.com
• I give this product a 5/5. I wasn’t suspecting it to last long (since it isn’t a stain) and it truly delivers moisture and a glossy finish to your lips. The rest of the shades are to die for and the packaging is so kawaii :3

Laneige Water Drop Tint *Review*

(even though it hasn’t been a day since I posted my last review kekeke)

Anyways… I recently purchased some Korean cosmetics and I want to review everything I got. Today I bring you a review of the Water Drop Tint by Laneige

I personally love Laneige (tbh, I love anything that is under and made by AmorePacific xD) and I have a few of their skin care  products as well some of their cosmetics. I did a review on the Laneige BB Cushion a while ago. You can click here to read it 🙂

So let’s get on the review…

The Water Drop Tint comes in various shades (well pink and orange xD) .They are extremely pretty and wearable

The one that caught my attention was Scarlet Red

I liked the fact that it isn’t red but it isn’t purely orange either. (Lol since it took so long to get here, I totally forgot I purchased this product, so when I put it on I was complaining because it didn’t look red)

I tried reading that… I am not sure what it says T.T

The box is pretty fancy 🙂

Here is the Lip Tint 😀

This is what the applicator looks like.

So here is the deal. The point of this applicator is to create gradient lips without having to conceal your lips.

So this is how you apply it (according to the Laneige.com website)

Step 1: Apply the the water drop-shaped on your lower lip left and right with the bent facing inside so that the tint is applied naturally and thoroughly, and then smack you lips 1 to 2 times.

Step 2: Apply the tint once more on the center of your lower lip to achieve gradient lips, giving your lips more dimension.

CONCLUSION

• Unfortunately this isn’t drug store priced makeup. I bought this one for $19.71 dollars at kpoptown.com
• I wish the shade selection was wider. It only lets you pick from either pink or orange.
• I don’t think that this tint is worth the price. I wish it was cheaper. It didn’t last long and the packaging looks really cheap too.
• I like the color and the applicator, but once again, I don’t think it’s worth the price.
• I give this product a 2.5/5. I would have appreciated more if it was cheaper because it doesn’t last long and I just don’t think you get what you pay for.

Etude House Play 101 Pencils

I returned one more time with another review :3

This time I bring you a review of the “Play 101” Pencils by Etude House.

There are 50 shades (and there is only so much money in my pocket T.T)

Does she remind you of anyone? It’s Pony! I did a review of her Meme box collaboration eye palette if you want to go and check it out in my blog!

She is actually the model for the Play 101 pencils for Etude House.

 I want to start this by saying that this is one of the most ingenious ideas I have ever heard and seen. Korean makeup just blows my mind! I just can’t even understand how they come up with these ideas.

I bought one of the pencils a while ago, but I was waiting for my second one to arrive so that’s why it took a while for me to write this review. But I finally tested both of them and here are my two cents.

So the Etude House Play 101 Pencils… where can I start… I AM OBSESSED! Haha

First of all it’s such a new and innovative idea, and it really works. At first I was a little worried of how these were going to work, but I am extremely satisfied and impressed.

Etude House came up to these pencils in order to serve multi-purpose uses. One pencil you can use for more than one part of your face. They have different finishes, for example, the ones with the matte finish would serve more as an eyeliner, eyebrow pencil and blush. The ones with the glossy finish are great for lips and cheeks. But you can use them however you want.

Number 23 is a burgundy color and it has a glossy finish and number 43 is a pink champagne color and it has a shimmery sheen finish.

Use it as blush too!

This pencils allows you to have a very smooth application on your lips and another amazing thing is that you can do is that you can use it as you lip liner so you only have to fill in you lips after that and then be done. You don’t have to worry about applying a coat of lipstick. You are basically set for life T.T

I used number 43 on my eyes. I mostly focused on my under eye and inner corner.

This color is perfect to highlight your eyes!

CONCLUSION

• OMAGAH!! These pencils are the bomb.com! They are so versatile and they have an awesome color payoff!
• I also bought them at a very comfortable price. They are only 5 dollars at kpoptown.com
• They have so many colors and finishes. Oh gosh, I gotta catch them all now!
• I give these a 5/5. Good job Etude House, good job!
• Oh, they also come with a sharpener 🙂
•
