AmorePacific Color Control Cushion Compact

Hello peeps!

Yesterday I was walking through the halls of Sephora (which is never a good idea, and my wallet doesn’t appreciate it at all) and I stopped at the AmorePacific section.

I am a huge fan of AmorePacific and its cosmetics brands. They own Etude House, Innisfree, Aritaum, Laneige, IOPE, Mamonde, and a whole other bunch other of brands.

This time I wanted to try the CC Cushion so I went ahead and grabbed it.

Here are my thoughts!

2015-05-24 17.11.17

The packaging is very sleek. It looks very luxurious and it fits well in the hand.

2015-05-24 17.11.54

It comes with a mirror and a cushion puff.

20150524_120102

20150524_120130

20150524_120121

OKAY… SO LET’S TRY THIS BAD BOY!

Here is my bare face.

I have uneven skin tone and I have some crazy hyper pigmentation happening under my left eye. My hope for this CC Cushion is to be able to correct those, that way I don’t have to wear too much makeup.

2015-05-24 17.12.41

After the Cushion:

I was actually very impressed with this CC Cushion. It legit controls any discoloration and it makes your skin tone pretty even.

2015-05-24 17.14.28

2015-05-24 17.15.52

It helped quite a bit with my under eye hyper pigmentation, but it didn’t cover it completely. But it is one of the only product that actually does a decent job covering it.

This CC Cushion also leaves your skin with a dewy finish. Since it is summer here I need to control it with some powder, but it’s nothing too complicated. It does brighten the skin and it leaves it with a cooling sensation.

2015-05-24 17.17.14

Another plus for this product is that it has broad spectrum SPF 50. It protects against UVB and also UVA rays. So if you are lazy like me, you don’t have to worry about putting sunscreen on xD

To use I pat the product on my face. I lot of people sweep it on the face, but that isn’t my style.

If you are wondering how this compares to the Laneige BB Cushion, I would start by saying that these two have two different purposes. The Laneige BB focuses on giving a little bit more of coverage and the AmorePacific focuses on color correcting. They both give a dewy finish, but the AmorePacif does a better job at correcting discoloration and blemishes. The price is also different. The Laneige BB Cushion retails for $30 bucks @ Target and the CC Cushion is $60 bucks @ Sephora. They both come with a replacement cushion.

20150524_173148

CONCLUSION

  • Really good product. It covered blemishes and it also helped quite a lot cover my under eye hyper pigmentation.
  • The packaging is luxurious and it looks really sturdy too.
  • I would say that it is reasonably priced. It costs $60 dollars but you also get a second cushion.
  • I wished there were more colors. The one that I got it’s a bit darker than my skin tone, but the other colors were too light.
  • I give this product a 5/5

New On The Market: Urban Decay Revolution High-Color Lip Glosses & Marc Jacobs Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer

Yo Yo peeps!

Man, I haven’t done a review in like 20 billion years! I have been super duper busy lately and I haven’t had time to do a review.

But I am back today with 2 relatively new products.

They are from Urban Decay and Marc Jacobs.

20150523_202806

URBAN DECAY “REVOLUTION HIGH-COLOR LIP GLOSS”

 2015-05-23 20.43.39

The applicator is very unique. It has an almost triangle shape, but that makes it really easy to apply it. I personally hate sticky lip gloss, but this stuff is awesome. The color pay off is really good and it lasts a pretty decent time too.

I have on “Bitter Sweet” which is a bright purple color

2015-05-23 20.42.41

2015-05-23 20.41.27

They have more shades to chose from if you aren’t looking for a crazy purple like mine. They also have 3 shades with glitter. Check them out!

MARC JACOBS ENAMORED HI-SHINE LIP LACQUER

2015-05-23 20.43.14

The applicator is squared and flat. It makes the product really easy to apply.

I have “Love Buzz” on my lips. Once again, this lip gloss isn’t sticky at all. It is very smooth and it smells like mint. This one also comes in more shades. This one caught my attention because it is pretty unique. It has very fine iridescent shimmer that makes it look very pretty.

2015-05-23 20.39.30

2015-05-23 20.40.20

2015-05-23 20.41.05

CONCLUSION

  • Beautiful colors and the shine is out of this world
  • The applicators for both products are super convenient and make the product very easy to apply on the lips.
  • I really like the smell of mint of the Marc Jacobs lip gloss
  • They last for a pretty decent time
  • The  turn down might be the price if you are on a budget. The Urban Decay is $22 and the Marc Jacobs is $28
  • I give both of these a 5/5. I am thinking of getting more colors.

WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK? WOULD YOU GIVE THESE A TRY? TELL ME WHAT YOUR FAVORITE LIP GLOSS IS…

Korean Style Makeup Tutorial

Hello peeps!

I have returned with a tutorial this time. I have been watching quite a lot of K-Pop videos lately and I am always jealous of how perfect all the girls in K-Pop groups always look.

This time around I am focusing mostly on the eyes.

Let the tutorial begin…

Alright so let’s get the eyebrows out of the way…

2015-05-13 14.16.46

Here I am using “I’m Eyebrow Mascara” in Brown by Memebox and Anastasia Beverly Hills “DipBrow Pomade” in Dark Brown

2015-05-13 14.18.10

It is popular in Korea to tint your eyebrows a lighter color. In #1 I swiped the Eyebrow Mascara and #2 is my natural eyebrow color. Experiment with different colors!

For eyebrows, make sure that they are straight. Arched eyebrows aren’t very popular in Korea. The thinking behind a straight brow is that it makes you look more soft and youthful.

2015-05-13 14.18.37

EYEBROWS… DONE!

2015-05-13 14.19.02

Alright, now let’s talk eyes!

I am using more than one eye shadow palette for this tutorial. You don’t have to use the same exact colors and brands that I have. I am just giving you an idea for you to make it your own!

Okay, so this is a quad by Givenchy that came out a while ago. Their eye shadows don’t have individual names so I am just going to name them #1 #2 #3 and #4. If throughout the tutorial you forget what number is which color, just come back to this picture.

This is the Siena Silhouette 76

2015-05-13 14.20.37

For my lid I used #4 from the Siena Silhouette quad

2015-05-13 14.22.19

I contoured with #1 from the Siena Silhouette quad.

2015-05-13 14.23.09

I used the “Bulletproof 24 hour” by Too Faced to make a thin line on my lid.

2015-05-13 14.19.45

2015-05-13 14.23.50

I applied a black eyeliner very close to the lash line. Make sure you don’t make it too thick. I used the Sephora Collection Long-Lasting 12HR Wear Eye Liner

When drawing your line when you get to the corner of your eye you have to bring it down instead of up. This will create the illusion of bigger eyes.

2015-05-13 14.24.34

For my under eye I am using an Artist Shadow by Makeup forever. I grabbed a bullet-shaped eye shadow brush and placed it all over my under eye.

TBH I don’t remember the name of the eye shadow but I believe it’s M738 Auburn.

You are more than welcomed to use a different color

s1623693-main-hero-300

2015-05-13 14.25.36

I placed a small violet line in the middle of my lower eyelid. I used the Play 101 Pencil in #19. Just to give it a pop of color.

I also went over the thin gel liner line I made, with another eyeliner. I used the Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Crayon in #42 Blacquer

20150513_151028

2015-05-13 14.26.26

I went over the orange color I placed earlier on my lower eye area with “Orange You Fancy” eyeshadow from the Artist Palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills (REVIEW COMING SOON)

I also put in some of the Urban Decay “Heavy Metal Glitter Liner” in Glamrock on my inner corner. This step is very important since it will also help with the bigger eye effect. You can use a highlighter for this step as well.

2015-05-13 14.21.32

s1550573-main-hero-300

Dots: Orange You Fancy

Lines: Glamrock

2015-05-13 14.27.22

As for mascara I am using the “I’m Mascara” by Memebox in Black. This gives my eyelashes length, and not so much volume. This is what you need to look for in a mascara for the Korean Style.

2015-05-13 14.27.43

Another important step is to contour the “agyeo sal”

Okay for those that do not know what that is, “agyeo” in Korean closely translates to “cute” and “sal” means “flesh” I know, gross xD So it’s the “cute flesh” that babies have under their eyes that makes their eyes look cute and big. Grab a bullet-shaped brush and place it under the skin that gathers under your eye when you smile. xD I really don’t know how to explain it so just look at the picture below.

2015-05-13 14.16.01

2015-05-13 14.30.35

Finish off with a lip color that makes your complexion brighter. I chose the Two Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in “Melted Ruby”

2015-05-13 14.28.20

AND WE ARE DONE!

2015-05-13 14.30.14

2015-05-13 14.29.14

Korean makeup should look simple and a bit natural.

 2015-05-13 14.31.15

ALRIGHT, WELL THERE YOU HAVE IT. LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT THIS STYLE!

Pony Pink Bloom Memebox *REVIEW*

Hello Peeps!

I have returned and as promised… I bring you today my Pony memebox review!

For those that do not know Pony, you can go and look at my previous review here (click)

Alright, ready? Let’s do this!

20150430_161211

You get 6 full size products in this Memebox.

I got the “Pony’s Choice in Pink Bloom” Memebox

YOU GET…

  • Shine Easy Glam3 Palette in #2 Pink Bloom
  • Blossom Lipstick #4 Blooming Love
  • I’m Eyeliner #4 Blazing
  • I’m Cream Blush #3 Selena
  • I’m Cream Shadow in #1 Flash Light
  • I’m Mascara in #1 Jet Black

          20150510_184217

THE PALETTE

20150510_184246

2015-05-10 21.06.22

This palette comes with 4 shades. Since this is the “Pink Bloom” quad, most of the eye shadows are pink with the exception of “Shine Ash Brown”

So let me tell you one thing first. These shadows are mostly glitter. They aren’t very pigmented but they are meant to be that way. Glitter is very popular in Korea and lots of K-pop stars sport glitter on their eyes. The only way you can get quite a good color pay off with these eye shadows is if you apply them wet.

THE LIPSTICK

Alright… so I kind of cheated on this one hahaha

The lipstick that came in the box is #4 in Blooming Love but pink does not look good on me. So I decided to buy another color that looks good on me (I gave the pink lipstick to my friend xD)

I bought #2 Spring Love

20150510_185514

The packaging is surprisingly super cute. It fits really well in your hands and the texture of the lipstick is very smooth.

I know it looks pretty pink in this pic, but I actually used a bright pink Dior lipstick and the put the #2 lip color in the middle.

2015-05-10 21.15.03

#2 Spring Lipstick Swatch

2015-05-10 20.55.58

THE EYELINER

Memebox definitely knows how to make eyeliners. I own 3 of their shades including the one that came in this box. OMG they are freaking pigmented and they just stay! They stay forever!

2015-05-10 20.58.17

Beautiful color: Check. Staying power: Freaking check! Good job Memebox

THE BLUSH

I wish I could say that same thing about this blush when it comes to staying power… I am not a fan of this blush. It doesn’t stay long and the color pay off is’t very good 😦 But if you are looking for light cream blush then this could be a very good option for you.

#3 Selena Cream Blush Swatch

2015-05-10 20.55.58

THE SHADOW

2015-05-10 21.07.59

Did you get blind when you saw this picture? Because this eye shadow is freaking glittery. These are basically pressed glitter. It comes with glitter chunks that once they break down they reveal their color.

They remind me of the Stila Magnificent Metal Foil Finish Eye Shadow. The Stila is a better quality though and it lasts longer than the memebox one.

20150510_184943

THE MASCARA

2015-05-10 20.57.44

I am actually very impressed with this mascara. This stuff is awesome, way better than the mascara I got in my previous Pony Memebox. This mascara will you all the length in the world (not so much volume) but there is downside to this mascara: It is freaking painful to take off. But to be honest, I am willing to go through that pain in order to have the result that this mascara gives me. This mascara is very “Korean” if we get technical about it. It gives you the length that is popular in Korea, because I don’t think that volume is popular per se.

And here is the look I created with this memebox

 2015-05-10 21.16.21

CONCLUSION

  • Beautiful products. I don’t think that all of them are really good, but I was overall happy with the whole box
  • OBSESSED with the mascara and the eyeliner!
  • The eye shadows and the lipstick are okay
  • Not loving the blush 😦
  • I give this memebox a 4/5.

NOW LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THOUGHT OF THIS MEMEBOX? THERE ARE OTHER 2 IN MEMEBOX.COM

ADIOS, BYE, CIAO, 再见,  안녕

P.S OMG you guys. I have been obsessed with this song

It’s called “Just Tell Me” by MyName. This is a Korean band that I have been listened to a lot ever since I heard their song “Too So Very Much”

When it comes to music I always appreciate catchy and fun songs. Not only they have good songs, but they also have super fun and entertaining dance moves! Check them out!

My bias is In Soo oppa. HE DRIVES ME CRAZY XD

11018360_881305818578631_1209065314_n

He is a piece of art xD T.T

ALSO….

I attempted to do the Negative Space Nails trend. Lol I think I did a pretty decent job for my first time.

Beauty Pouch Essentials for Summer Part II

Hello peeps!

I am back with the second part of my “beauty pouch essentials”.

P.S: Today was so freaking hot! I legit hate this weather so freaking much T.T

If you haven’t seen the first part just click right hurrr!

1. Mascara

2015-05-04 18.57.43

If you want to give your eyes an instant boost of liveliness, then just put some mascara on! This will make your eyes look bigger and more awake. I love the fact that your favorite mascara can come in a mini-size. They are extremely easy to carry with you just in case an accident happens! If you don’t have time to clamp your lashes with a curler then I recommend the “Roller Lash” by Benefit. Not only will this mascara will give you volume, but it will curl your lashes without an eyelash curler.

2. Finishing Powder

2015-05-04 18.58.08

Want to be matte but also covered? Then look no more with a finishing powder. You can either use it after your foundation or alone. This will help you keep your face matte throughout the day and it’s also very easy to carry. I recommend the Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Tinted Pressed Finishing Powder by Tarte (dang, that’s quite a name) ($34 @ Sephora)

3. Eyebrow Wiz & Play 101 Pencil

2015-05-04 18.59.04

If your eyebrows are a little out of shape, you can always fix them with an eyebrow pencil. I love eyebrow pencils because they are super easy to carry and you can just fix your eyebrows on-the-go! Another product that it isn’t very popular here in the States (but it should) is the Play 101 pencils by Etude House. OMG I love these so much. So let me explain what they are: these are multi-purpose pencils that you can use for more than one place in your face. I currently have 5 shades and I love them. If you want to know more about these you can read my review here! For eyebrow pencil I would recommend the Brow Wiz by Anastasia Beverly Hills. ($21 @ Sephora) (Etude House pecils $8 each @memebox.com) Unfortunately only a few shades are available at memebox.com 😦 You can find more at kpoptown.com

4. Roller Ball Frangrance

2015-05-04 18.56.56

Everybody wants to smell good! Roller ball fragrances are such an amazing option so you can smell good 24/7. I recommend “Love” by Chloe. ($25 @ Sephora)

5. Lip gloss

2015-05-04 18.58.29

Shine? Yes! Then you should get yourself a nice  lip gloss. These are a great alternative for lipstick. For those days that you just want rock some shine on your lips. I recommend the “Marvelous Moxie” Lip glosses by Bareminerals. ($18 @ Sephora) I also recommend the Sephora Collection Ultra Lip Gel (did a review on these)

6. Make-Up Pouch

2015-05-04 19.00.03

And of course you need something to carry all those precious items… Get a really cute pouch and enjoy this summer looking fantastic B-)

WELL THERE YOU HAD IT! THESE ARE SOME OF MY FAVORITES. PLEASE TELL ME IN THE COMMENTS BELOW WHAT SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE SUMMER ITEMS. I AM DYING TO KNOW, I MIGHT EVEN STEAL SOME IDEAS XD

P.S. I JUST RECENTLY PURCHASED THE LATEST PONY MEMEBOX!

Beauty Pouch Essentials for Summer :3 Part 1

Hello peeps!

So today I am not back with a review, but rather I will give you some life advice xD

I started a new job today and for some reason I always become OCD when to comes to my first day when I go to a new place haha. I always need to be there in time and I have to be ready for anything, so I always pack my entire life in my purse.

But since summer is here (damn it T_T) I thought that it would be a great idea for me to show you guys the product I use when this change of weather occurs. It was also very helpful because that helped me to bring it down to a few products (that way I didn’t have to take my whole makeup drawer with me xD)

Alright, let’s begin…

2015-05-04 18.55.12

1. Dry Shampoo

2015-05-04 18.55.45

Didn’t have time in the morning to take a shower? Was the bed calling out your name every time you tried to wake up? Well my friend, that’s my life every single morning. But for those that ain’t about that morning life, then dry shampoo is a freaking life saver. Not only will this absorb all that grease out of your hair, but it will also smell super good. I recommend that “Detox Dry Shampoo” by DryBar. ($13 at Sephora)

2. BB Cushion/Miracle Cushion

2015-05-04 18.56.13

Once again, for those that ain’t about that morning life and you got no time for makeup… this is another life saver! Not only will this BB Cushion will cover up some of your imperfections, but it will give you a very nice glow. I recommend the Laneige BB Cushion. ($34 @ Target).

But for those that do have a little bit of time I would recommend the “Miracle Cushion” by Lancome. This cushion will give you more coverage than the BB cushion and will also help mattify your skin a bit. ($46.50 @ Sephora) You can read my reviews of these two products for the BB Cushion and the Miracle Cushion.

3. TonyMoly Pocket Bunny Sleek Mist

 2015-05-04 18.57.18

Do you want something cute and fun to carry around in your purse? Well, look no further 🙂 TonyMoly always has the cutest and funnest products in the market. Not only will this pocket bunny make you look like the coolest person on earth, but it will also help you with oil control. It helps reduce and absorb excess facial oils. Formulated with a fusion of fruit extracts, this mist face mist not only and controls oil without drying, but it also sets makeup and improves the overall feel and look of skin. Perfect for oily or troubled skin, it imparts a fresh, fruity, and alluring fragrance. ($15 @ Sephora)

4. Blotting Linens or tissues

2015-05-04 18.56.36

If you have never tried these, then girl… YOU NEED THEM IN YOUR LIFE RIGHT MEOW! This things make such an awesome job at removing all of that nasty oil that runs down your face around noon time xD Blotting linens are so easy to use and they are very discreet as well. I recommend the Boscia Green Tea Linens ($10 @ Sephora) I love these ones because they smell really good and they do a really good job at removing the oil off your face.

5. Tint Balm

2015-05-04 19.06.13

This lip balm is perfect for those that are looking for a hydrating  balm, but also want some color on their lips. Tint balms hydrate your lips and then they make you look sexy with a hint of lip tint. I recommend the “I’m Tint Balm” by Memebox. (This tint balm came in a memebox, but you can go to their website to find it)

WELL, THERE YOU HAVE IT! SOME OF MY SUMMER FAVORITES. STAYED TUNED, I WILL POSTING THE REST TOMORROW!
