Miracle Romance “Sailor Moon” Eyeliner

Hello peeps!!!

OMG! How is everyone doing? I’ve been gone for quite sometime and it’s all because of adulting -_-!

Distressed because of so much adulting selfie!

I’ve been traveling quite a lot since mid-last year and I’ve been collecting a bunch of stuff that I want to share on my blogs, so keep tuned 🙂

So I’m making my great comeback with an eyeliner review! But, it’s not just any eyeliner… it’s the Sailor Moon “Miracle Romance Eyeliner”

Now for those that are wondering who Sailor Moon is, I only have one question for you: Did you live under a rock?

Okay, maybe I’m being a little harsh, but I only say this because I care you, yes you, the person ready this blog.

Well let me introduce you to the wonderful world of Sailor Moon!

Sailor Moon is a Japanese manga that came out in the late 80’s that was later animated in the early 90’s. From its inception it was well received by the public.

This anime was very meaningful for me growing up, because Serena was just like me, a middle-school girl that was confused about life in general, but she took the huge responsibility to become a Sailor Scout and save the world from evil. Her story and personality had a huge positive impact in the person I am today.

Anyways… let’s get into the good stuff!

It’s a felt tip eyeliner that comes with interchangeable caps (that you can put on top of the cap that they eyeliner comes with). You can get the Moon Stick, Cutie Moon Rod, Spiral Heart Moon Rod & Pink Moon Stick.

NOW TO THE REVIEW:

After “punishing everyone in the name of the moon” *does sailor moon pose* (of course that was the first thing I had to do… duh) I decided to give it a try…

The first thing I noticed is that the felt tip makes it very easy to make thin or thick lines. The black is also very intense, but I did feel the need to do a couple more passes on top of my original line.

To put this baby to the test I decided to go out for a couple hours to test its durability and unfortunately it didn’t do so well…

It stared to smudge about 2-3 hours after I started wearing it.

I do have to say that Ohio is very humid during the summer. When I was out it was about 80° degrees and there was 50% humidity. The MOST UNHOLY WEATHER!!!

Also it stared to fade at the wing:

You can see that the liner part on the lid looks darker than the liner part on part that’s flicked.

CONCLUSION

•  It’s a “TAKE MY MONEY” item for sure. For those that watched Sailor Moon as kids, know exactly what I’m talking about. I would say that this is a direct attack to the millennial population, since we were the ones that enjoyed Sailor moon during our childhoods. I know that they also release a Sailor Moon powder and people went nuts. You can probably try to find it only for a million dollars 🙂
  
• My sister purchased this item for $20 dollars. For the price, I don’t think the eyeliner itself it’s worth it. Specially because you can totally get the Stila “All Day” waterproof eyeliner & this eyeliner will stay on all freaking day! ($22 dollars @ Sephora.com)
• If think that this is more of a collectors item, than an actual well-thought out makeup product.
• I give this product a 5/5. Even though the eyeliner itself isn’t the best, it brought a lot of good memories and I’m just excited to have something that makes me happy!

Guise, I’ve recently been listening to IU a lot! I never really gave her a chance before because I thought her music was just generic bubble-gum kpop. Don’t get me wrong, I usually don’t mind it, but it can get old. But boy, I was wrong! Her music is fantastic and you should go and giver her a listen. Her music just gets better with time!

 

HERA UV MIST CUSHION

I returned today with a BB Cushion review.

I haven’t been really been looking around for BB or CC Cushions lately, but I happen to find this one on memebox.com

Let’s get into the review!!!

I was actually pretty surprised with the box. It’s really pretty!!

It also comes with a replacement cushion

This is always a plus for me. I mean, it was pretty expensive so I better get my money’s worth!!

Now the Cushion packing is very sleek and chic. It feels like an high-end product (and it actually is! Hera is considered an high-end product in South Korea)

NOW LET’S TRY IT!!

Let me tell you a little bit about my skin type. I have a acne prone skin, very oily in the summer and super dry in the winter. I have been experiencing some break-outs since I just recently moved into an apartment and while I was going through all the moving hassle I happened to misplaced my Mia2 for 2 days and I am now paying the consequences.

I got shade C-23(their darkest shade)]

You can tell on this picture that it’s still pretty light

Compared to my neck it makes me look pale as a ghost xD

Now this is when I applied it all over my face.

I also added a little bit a bronzer and a bronzey blush (to even out my paleness xD)

This is what it looks like in natural light.

It is an extremely brightening formula. I loved the fact that even though it was lighter than my actual skin tone, it didn’t make me look ashy.

  CONCLUSION

• Excellent quality product. It lasts all day. I don’t think there is a need for retouching (unless you sweat a lot)
• It doesn’t make you look ashy like a lot of other bb creams
• If you have a darker skin tone, you won’t be able to find a shade that will match you 😦
• This bb has a semi-matte finish, it isn’t as hydrating as other bb cushions.

Clarisonic Mia 2 *Review and Demo*

Today I will be taking about the Clarisonic Mia 2.

To be honest I never really thought I was going to ever purchase this product, but Sephora has it on sale online and I was like: Eh, why not?

Tah-Dah!!

I am now the proud owner of a Clarisonic Mia 2

 

Let’s see how this thing works!

First things first: Remove your makeup.

Yeah, I know this thing is supposed to clean your face really really well, but to be honest I always like to remove my makeup with an oil  so I can definitely assure that my makeup is off.

Now let’s get a little personal with the actual product:

It’s very easy and simple to use.It has the on/off button and another button to control the speed. Since I got the Mia2, mine has 2 speeds.

*make sure that you charge it at least 24  hours before first use*

Now that you know how to turn it on xD Let’s try it on our face:

The first thing I like to do is to put the face wash directly on my face.

I am using the Too Cool For School “Egg Mouse Soap” Facial Cleanser.

Then I like to pretend to be a overly-creepy man with a beard.

Anyways…. Let’s deep clean!!

The Clarasonic works in 4 cycles. The first one lasts 20 seconds. You are supposed to use it on your forehead.

Then the devices vibrates letting you know that the first cycle is done and you need to move to the next part of your face: Your chin area

Then it vibrates again and then you are supposed to move to your cheeks:

But this time you get 2 cycles of 10 seconds each. So you use 10 seconds on one cheek and then the other 10 on the other one.

The device will automatically turn off after the full minute!

Then you are all done!

Okay so now you are probably wondering: “So does this thing really work?”

HELL YEAH IT DOES!

My skin has been feeling and looking its best ever I started using it. I haven’t had a break out since I bought it and started using it. I really think it’s worth the investment.

CONCLUSION

• Super duper easy to use.
• It’s a extremely quick deep cleanse. I really like the fact that it takes you 1 minute to do your whole face.
• It is rather expensive. I got mine for $119 at Sephora (and I got it on sale)
• The head brush replacements are expensive as hell (I think that the cheapest ones are like $29 bucks)
• It does give you rather quickly results. It all, of course, depends on how well your skin takes it.
• I give this product a 5 out of 5

Chosungah 22 Dong Gong Minn Brow Maker *Review and Demo*

I have been gone for quite a while 😦

I didn’t have a computer in all that time, but I was finally able to afford a new one and therefore I should be able to post more often! (Yeeeh!!!)

My last post for the Chosungah lip stain was a sucess!!! It’s the post that had the most views from all of my other posts (just in case you missed it, here it is: Chosungah Lip Tint Review)

So I decided to make another post about another Chosungah product!!!

This time I will talk about the Chosungah 22 Dong Gong Minn Brow Maker

 

 This brow product was created in order to simplify the art of getting your eyebrows “on fleek”

LET’S TEST IT OUT!!

So, this is what my real eyebrows look like (I know you are laughing -_- Staph!)

Let’s see what time of miracles this thing can do for me…

Peasants, behold Chosungah Brow Maker in all of it’s glory…

Now let’s break it up:

The wand comes with a brush and the a spongy tip

This is how you used it:

1. Comb through your eyebrows (start with the inner part)

2. Used the sponge tip to fill out the sparse parts

3. DONE,킅, FINITO

And here is the finished look (it clearly took me way more time than what filling in my eyebrows did)

CONCLUSION

• Easiest-to-use-eyebrow-pencil-ever!
• I love the fact that it has wax also incorporated, so your eyebrows ain’t going no where, homie!
• Cutest packaging (and Koreans do it one more time)
• You have to be very careful with the amount of product you use. A little bit goes a long way.
• It’s not the cheapest ($22 bucks at Sephora

Chosungah 22 Dual Lip Tint and Gloss *Review and Demo*

Hello peeps!

Today I bring you a review of the Chosungah 22 dual lip tint.

Just to give you a little bit of a history for this Korean brand.

What I know is that it was created by a Korean makeup artist and it was only used with celebrities. But it has been opened to the public and you can get the Chosungah makeup products at Sephora and other online websites (like Memebox).

I have to say that I was pretty excited when I saw this product at Sephora.

It’s a double ended product, and it makes it very convenient to carry.

Now let me show you a demo:

This is when I only applied the lip tint to my lips.

I have to say that it makes your lips look very “juicy”

Here is the lip tint with the gloss

At first the lip tint felt very sticky, but the stickiness goes a away after a little while.

CONCLUSION

• I really liked the fact that this lip tint delivered a lot of the pigment on the first application. With some Korean lip tints you have to try at least 2 or 3 times in order to get a good color pay off.
• The combination of the lip tint and lip gloss is life. They work so well together.
• It’s not the most affordable lip stain ($19 @ Sephora)
• As for wear, I have to say that it’s not the best. The lip tint doesn’t last all day, but the lip gloss does last a very decent amount of time.
• I’ll give this lip tint a 4/5

Smashbox “Camera Ready BB Water” & Tony Moly “Luminous Aura” *Review and Demo*

Yes, I know… I legit didn’t post at all last month! But a lot of stuff occured T.T

Lost my cellphone, getting crazy hours at work, Xiumin from EXO still isn’t my boyfriend… sigh 😦

But now it’s all good in the hood, and I have returned!!!

Annndd today I bring you a review of not 1 BUT 2 products!!

Smashbox “Camera Ready BB Water”

This products claims to prime, perfect and protect (they should just called it a pp water xD jk)

This product is supposed to give you a demi-matte look and it’s formulated to last a long time!

It’s alcohol free (means no shine and no drying) and it also comes in tons of shades. I am really glad the cosmetic industry is trying really hard to create shades for almost everyone!

Let’s try it out

I applied this product with a beauty blender. I feel like it gives you the best finish!

This stuff is super watery (hence the name xD)

Then I added some of the Luminous Aura

You can use your own ratio but I did 2:1 with this. The Luminous Aura will work with just a small amount

*END RESULT*

Super dewy and healthy looking skin.

But if you ain’t about that “all-over” dewiness and want to mattify some areas of your face I would recommend to use a brightening powder.

The Sephora Collection “Bright Set” powder in banana should do the work!

I put some powder on my T-Zone so it didn’t get too oily!

But I was completely happy with then end result.

Now let me give you a quick rundown of the Luminous Aura:

Sephora Website: Tony Moly’s multitasking Luminous Goddess Aura Beam creates a luminious glow with its real pearl powder. Enriched with collagen and natural oils that are known for their antiaging and hydrating benefits, it can be used alone or mixed with your foundation. Perfect for every skintone, this powder nourishes skin with argan, almond, and jojoba natural oils and extracts.

I haven’t seen any of the “anti-aging” results but it definitely hydrates. It works really well and you can also use it as a highlighter.

CONCLUSION

• Great products. I would recommend the BB water for people that do not have much to cover. I would say it has a light to sheer coverage, but you can use it with your favorite concealer or foundation
• If you ain’t about that extra dewy life, then the Luminous Aura is not for you. This stuff will give you “I-just-came-out-of-a-korean-drama-shooting” dewiness. But if you love it, then you should go to Sephora now and buy it!
• Neither of these products broke me out! I was really happy about that.
• I give these products a 5/5

“Kat Von D” Lipstick Favorites: Studded Kiss Lipstick Version

Today I bring you my Favorite Kat Von D lipsticks!

Well let’s start talking about Kat Von D. She is BAD A**!!! Like legit, I kind of wished I had her life. For example, she owns her own cosmetic line, she is friends with freaking Gerard Way from My Chemical Romance (you guys don’t know how obsessed I used to be with him) and she always looks awesome, sometimes a little bit odd, but her job allows her to do whatever she wants with her appearance! What a life T.T

But anyways… I am not here to talk about that! Let’s talk lipsticks 🙂

So these are called “studded” for a reason…

They were made to resemble Kat Von D’s favorite studded bracelet.

I think that the packaging is super cool!

Now let’s look at my favorites

1. Slayer

           

This is jet black color! I bought it because I went to Gerard’s Way concert (lead singer from My Chemical Romance) I wanted to remember my emo days xD But seriously, I love this color!

The downside of this color is that it wears off in patches. This is how it looks after I have been wearing it for like 5 mins. But, it is still one of my favorite colors.

2. Wolve’s Mouth

I believe that this was a limited edition color. I legit bought it before they put it out on the shelves at Sephora. This is a purple with blue iridescent shimmer. At first I was very hesitant to buy it when I tried it, but it grew on me while I was at the store.

3. Vampira

LOVE LOVE THIS COLOR! Any lipstick that is close to this color is my favorite!

4. Hexagram

HANDS DOWN! THIS IS MY FAVORITE OUT OF ALL OF THEM!

5.Underage Red

This one tops with Hexagram. I love both of these reds!

Well… there you had it! I have a small collection but I am thinking of buying more in the future.

(you may not see “Underage Red” and that’s because I am an idiot and I lost it T.T)

CONCLUSION

•  Love love love these lipsticks! Most of them have a really good staying power
• 
• They just make me feel bad a** in general
• These are great colors too if you are looking for something to get out of your comfort zone.

So lately I have been trying to step my hair game. I have never been huge on hair stuff and just doing my hair in general, but lately I have been trying really hard. I just purchased some products by Dry Bar and I have been using them and I am not sure how I feel about them. I tried to “blow out” my hair but this is out it ended up looking:

M.A.C Favorites

Yo yo peeps!

Today I decided to do a “favorites” type of post. Since last December I finally decided to try something from MAC (I know, don’t kill me please xD)

I know that it did take me while, but to be honest, I was never really able to afford it. I was on a college budget and I never really saw the real appeal to the brand.

BUT FINALLY… last year I decided to give MAC a try and here are my favorite products.

1. “Media” Satin finish

I am a sucker for lipsticks. I love vampy colors and “Media” is one of my favorites.

2. “Hang-Up” Creamesheen finish

Okay, you guys might say that “Media” and “Hang-Up” are the same exact color, but they are not (and also I bought this one forgetting that I already had “Media”… don’t judge me)

But I would say that “Hang-Up” is lighter color and I the finish also makes it look different.

3. Lustreglass in “White Lustre”

I originally went into MAC looking for the Cinderella Collection, but it seemed like I was 2 weeks too late to get anything  because it sold out the same day it came out T___T

But I was specifically looking for their lip glass in “Glass Slipper”

But the closer color I found was “White Lustre”

4. Blush in “Fever” Matte finish

This is one of my favorites blushes hands down! This stuff will stay on your cheek for ages. I always get compliments when I wear this blush.

The color pay off is amazing, so you only need to use a little bit.

Okay…. So that was it xD I know it was only a few products, but I still need to submerge myself a little bit into the brand.

Lorac Unzipped Palette *REVIEW*

Hello peeps!

I have returned with another review. Last week I was walking through the halls of Ulta (sigh!) and I couldn’t but stop at the Lorac section. I am not completely familiar with this brand but I heard a lot about the Lorac palettes and I wanted to try to one of them. Neither the Lorac PRO palettes caught my attention, so I gravitated towards the Lorac Unzipped Palette.

This palette is beautiful!  I like the fact that is very thin and light. Easy to use since you aren’t holding a 20 pound palette while you are applying xD

This palette mostly contains neutral tones. This is the perfect palette for natural eye makeup days, or you can spicy up with a smoky eyes since it does have bold and darker colors.

CONCLUSION

• Gorgeous palette! It has beautiful every-day colors and it is extremely pigmented
• It retails for $42 bucks
• It also comes with a mini of the behind the scenes eye-primer (I love it)
• Love the packaging
• I give this palette a 5/5

GUYS! A new kpop band just debuted and their name is “Seventeen”

This is their debut song

I FREAKING LOVE THIS SONG! It is super catchy and it has super powerful vocals as well. I am super impressed by these kids, and yes, by kids I really meant it! The youngest one I think was born in 1999 T.T Fortunately the ones that I like are legal (I am safe xD)  I was immediately drawn to Woozi, Minkyu and Wonwoo. I also can’t get over DK’s voice (damn son). This new group is very dangerous though xD They have mix of cuteness and sexiness… They will for sure do well in the future!

AmorePacific Color Control Cushion Compact

Hello peeps!

Yesterday I was walking through the halls of Sephora (which is never a good idea, and my wallet doesn’t appreciate it at all) and I stopped at the AmorePacific section.

I am a huge fan of AmorePacific and its cosmetics brands. They own Etude House, Innisfree, Aritaum, Laneige, IOPE, Mamonde, and a whole other bunch other of brands.

This time I wanted to try the CC Cushion so I went ahead and grabbed it.

Here are my thoughts!

The packaging is very sleek. It looks very luxurious and it fits well in the hand.

It comes with a mirror and a cushion puff.

OKAY… SO LET’S TRY THIS BAD BOY!

Here is my bare face.

I have uneven skin tone and I have some crazy hyper pigmentation happening under my left eye. My hope for this CC Cushion is to be able to correct those, that way I don’t have to wear too much makeup.

After the Cushion:

I was actually very impressed with this CC Cushion. It legit controls any discoloration and it makes your skin tone pretty even.

It helped quite a bit with my under eye hyper pigmentation, but it didn’t cover it completely. But it is one of the only product that actually does a decent job covering it.

This CC Cushion also leaves your skin with a dewy finish. Since it is summer here I need to control it with some powder, but it’s nothing too complicated. It does brighten the skin and it leaves it with a cooling sensation.

 Another plus for this product is that it has broad spectrum SPF 50. It protects against UVB and also UVA rays. So if you are lazy like me, you don’t have to worry about putting sunscreen on xD

To use I pat the product on my face. I lot of people sweep it on the face, but that isn’t my style.

If you are wondering how this compares to the Laneige BB Cushion, I would start by saying that these two have two different purposes. The Laneige BB focuses on giving a little bit more of coverage and the AmorePacific focuses on color correcting. They both give a dewy finish, but the AmorePacif does a better job at correcting discoloration and blemishes. The price is also different. The Laneige BB Cushion retails for $30 bucks @ Target and the CC Cushion is $60 bucks @ Sephora. They both come with a replacement cushion.

CONCLUSION

• Really good product. It covered blemishes and it also helped quite a lot cover my under eye hyper pigmentation.
• The packaging is luxurious and it looks really sturdy too.
• I would say that it is reasonably priced. It costs $60 dollars but you also get a second cushion.
• I wished there were more colors. The one that I got it’s a bit darker than my skin tone, but the other colors were too light.
• I give this product a 5/5
